Rice Krispies Treats Ice Cream Infiltrates Freezers With Nostalgia

In 1939, a Kellogg’s employee named Mildred Day created and published a recipe for a Camp Fire Girls bake sale consisting of Rice Krispies, melted marshmallows, and margarine. Fast forward to today and it has remained a nostalgic snack fondly known as Rice Krispies Treats.

Kellanova, the brand behind Rice Krispies, has partnered with Golden West Food Group to launch Rice Krispies Ice Cream. Following the buzz around their Eggo Waffle Ice Cream flavors hitting shelves, they’re now bringing the nostalgic taste of Rice Krispies Treats to the freezer aisle. This new release blends gooey marshmallows and crispy rice cereal into a rich, velvety ice cream, delivering a chilled take on a childhood favorite.

The fan-favorite snack will now be available in various ice cream options, including pints and ice cream sandwiches. Rice Krispies ice cream pints will feature the classic marshmallow flavor, while ice cream sandwiches will have crispy marshmallow squares on the outside. The sandwiches will come in three flavors: original, strawberry, and triple chocolate.

These Rice Krispies ice cream treats will be available at the frozen aisles at Kroger, Albertsons, and Walmart in the coming weeks. It doesn’t need to be summer to enjoy this pint, all you need is a sweet tooth.
