Popeyes Confirms Chocolate-Stuffed Beignets Are Coming To Locations Nationwide

Popeyes, the iconic fried chicken chain based in New Orleans, is adding a classic French Quarter dessert to their menu: beignets.

The fried dough treats come dusted in powdered sugar and with a special chocolate-stuffed center. They come in a variety of serving sizes: three beignets for $1.99, six for $3.99, and a dozen for $7.49.

Foodbeast was able to track down the beignets at a couple of locations in Massachusetts. The beignets captured in this article by the Instagrammer duo @a_couple_fatties were found at a location in Everett, while the other location confirmed to have beignets is located by Malcolm X Park.

@A_couple_fatties told Foodbeast that the beignets were “pretty good,” and come with lots of powdered sugar. “The chocolate was just oozing out of them,” they said.

Foodbeast has reached out to Popeyes inquiring about availability of the beignets, who responded by saying, “As a brand from New Orleans we are always looking to bring new dishes and desserts from our hometown to the menu, but at this time the beignets are only available at select restaurants.”

While they are limited right now, Popeyes has confirmed to Foodbeast that the chocolate-stuffed beignets will eventually get a nationwide release.

For now, we do know that they are available in Boston, and are looking to see where else the beignets may be available. We will update here if we locate them somewhere else.
