Hooters Wants To Be A Family Restaurant Again
Many restaurant chains have entered their rebrand era this year from Red Lobster to Schlotzsky’s. Now Hooters is next—and we have questions.
So what’s happening? Apparently, Hooters said its rebranding to its original roots as a beach-themed and family-style restaurant.
CEO Neil Kiefer told People Magazine, the chain is centered around being a neighborhood place for families, singles and couples. However, when private equity firms acquired hundreds of locations, the chain deviated from its roots. This resulted in the version we know now.
Kiefer also noted locations using the wrong wing sauces. He noted this rebrand will address this issue, ensuring consistency across the chain.
The rebrand sounds scarier than what we imagined especially if you’re Gen Z like myself—because it’s hard to picture a Hooters that isn’t the version we’ve known for the past two decades.
Is Hooters now the place for families that drive Camrys and go to Disney?
