Reese’s Is Turning Its Iconic Halloween Pumpkin Into A Latte
Pumpkin spice season has become virtually unavoidable, but Reese’s has found a loophole: make a pumpkin latte without any actual pumpkin.
Reese’s is teaming up with viral coffee brand The Nitro Bar for the new Reese’s Pumpkins PB Whip Latte, a limited-edition fall drink inspired by the chocolate and peanut butter flavors of Reese’s Pumpkins.
Despite the name, this isn’t another pumpkin spice latte. The “pumpkin” comes from Reese’s iconic pumpkin-shaped Halloween candy, with the drink instead leaning into the combination of peanut butter and chocolate.
Basically, Reese’s found a way to participate in pumpkin latte season on a technicality. Respect.
The collaboration will roll out in three stages. New Yorkers get first dibs during a pop-up on September 14 and 15, marking The Nitro Bar’s first foray into New York City ahead of its anticipated 2027 opening. The latte will then hit all The Nitro Bar locations from September 18 through September 20.
If you’re nowhere near one, Reese’s will also release an at-home recipe on September 14 so you can make your own.
The partnership makes sense considering how seriously Reese’s takes Halloween. According to Circana data cited by the brand, Reese’s ranks as America’s No. 1 Halloween candy, and Reese’s Pumpkins have become one of its signature seasonal releases.
The Nitro Bar, meanwhile, has built a following around inventive coffee creations, making it a natural partner for turning a piece of Halloween candy into somebody’s morning caffeine run.
It also arrives as brands continue stretching the boundaries of what constitutes “fall flavor.” Pumpkin spice still runs the season, but we’ve watched everything from banana to maple fight for a little real estate lately. Reese’s apparently figured there was another route entirely.
Just take the most famous pumpkin in your candy aisle and liquefy it.
