McDonald’s Is Bringing Back Spicy McNuggets And Its Perfect Sauce Pairing

Spicy Chicken McNuggets are headed back to McDonald’s, and for those of us who believe a McNugget can always use a little more kick, September is already looking promising.

Starting September 1, participating McDonald’s restaurants nationwide will bring back Spicy Chicken McNuggets for a limited time. The fiery sibling of the classic McNugget comes breaded in a tempura coating seasoned with aged cayenne and chili peppers, adding a welcome burn to one of fast food’s most reliable little vessels for dipping sauce.

Speaking of which, Mighty Hot Sauce is returning with them, and this is where the whole operation really starts cooking.

The sauce blends crushed red pepper and spicy chilis with savory garlic and a touch of sweetness, giving Spicy McNuggets an extra jolt for anyone whose natural response to heat is to reach for more of it. We know who we are.

Spicy Chicken McNuggets first debuted in 2020 as McDonald’s first new McNuggets flavor since the original arrived in 1983, and they’ve made a few welcome returns in the years since.
