Taco Bell Made Olivia Rodrigo Her Own Baja Blast Flavor
Olivia Rodrigo has a No. 1 album, and apparently her victory lap includes turning Baja Blast pink.
Taco Bell is teaming up with the pop star for You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast, a new spin on Mountain Dew Baja Blast inspired by her latest album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love. The new bev keeps Baja Blast’s signature tropical lime flavor and adds pink lemonade notes, giving the famously electric blue-green drink a very pink makeover to match the album’s aesthetic.
According to Taco Bell, the collaboration actually started with Rodrigo, who approached the brand after years of keeping Baja Blast in her regular rotation. She called the original one of her “favorite drinks ever.”
The Pretty Pink Baja Blast gets an early release August 29 exclusively at Live Más Café locations, including a frozen version available only at the beverage-focused concept. The regular drink then rolls out to Taco Bell restaurants nationwide on September 24 for a limited time, followed by a Canadian launch October 1.
Taco Bell is going considerably bigger than a celebrity name slapped on a cup, too. Select Live Más Cafés in California, Las Vegas, and Texas will host Rodrigo-inspired takeovers and sticker giveaways on August 29. Fans attending the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival in Irvine, California, will also get an early shot at the drink alongside limited-edition merch and an immersive Taco Bell activation.
The collaboration also gives Taco Bell another showcase for Live Más Café, its growing beverage concept that debuted in late 2024 and has since expanded to more than 30 locations. Pretty Pink is among the first Taco Bell drinks to debut through the café before graduating to the national menu, offering a glimpse at how the chain could use Live Más Café as an incubator while it chases its ambitious goal of reaching $5 billion in annual beverage sales.
As for prices, You Seem Pretty Pink for a Baja Blast starts at $2.99 for a small, while the Live Más Café-exclusive frozen version starts at $3.89.
Taco Bell Rewards members will get another piece of the collaboration on September 29 with a Pretty Pink Tuesday Drop featuring a limited-edition picnic kit with a matching blanket and basket.
Baja Blast has been a Taco Bell fixture since 2004, but the chain has only recently started messing with its sacred formula. Baja Midnight, a passion fruit spin on the original tropical lime flavor, became the first permanent flavor expansion last year.
