Spaghetti and Meatball Poppers, No Forks Necessary

Amy Erickson over at OH, Bite It is no stranger to quirky food twists, as evidenced by her Grilled Cheese Fries and Deep Fried Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Now she’s upgrading the way we make spaghetti and meatballs.

They’re called Spaghetti and Meatball Poppers and they look like beautiful little woven baskets filled with meat.

Simply enough, all you need to make these is spaghetti noodles, frozen meatballs, pasta sauce, egg, Parmesan cheese and some seasoning. Just like you would with any spaghetti, Amy boiled the pasta and drained it. She then made a sauce mix using the pasta sauce, Parmesan cheese, seasoning and egg. She poured the sauce on the noodles, then took spoonfuls and poured them into a mini muffin baking pan. Next she topped the noodles with a meatball and stuck the pan into the oven.

These poppers take less than 30 minutes to cook, so they could be a good, quick snack or appetizer to make while watching the game.
