IKEA And Chupa Chups Made A Meatball-Flavored Lollipop

IKEA is turning its iconic Swedish meatballs into a lollipop—and this time it’s not a joke.

After floating the idea on April 1 and watching it catch real traction, IKEA teamed up with Chupa Chups to bring a limited-edition meatball-inspired lollipop to life. The collab rolls out this June at IKEA stores worldwide.

The lollipop pulls from the flavors of IKEA’s classic Swedish meatballs and their lingonberry sidekick, reworked into something sweet, a little savory, and definitely unexpected. It’s less about recreating the exact taste and more about translating that familiar IKEA food moment into a different format.

About one million lollipops will hit stores globally—but there’s a catch. IKEA won’t sell them. Instead, customers can try them for free during in-store tasting events throughout June.

The move taps into what both brands do best by taking something recognizable and flipping it just enough to get people buzzing. In this case, it’s the IKEA meatball, reimagined as a piece of candy you’d probably try at least once.

Chupa Chups has been out the box with its ideas lately, remember the ‘Impossible’ bulletproof lollipops they came out recently?
