This Is The Bud Light Rape Joke That Got Them In Trouble This Morning

Earlier this morning, Bud Light tweeted something that caught the attention of, and drew outrage from, many readers. It featured a group of girls dressed in green for St. Patrick’s Day and seemed to suggest inappropriate pinching followed by the hashtag #UpForWhatever.

The social media post was deleted after staying up for two hours, but by then the damage had already done. Bud Light issued a statement of apology for the tweet.

A company representative told Mashable that they apologize to anyone who was offended by the tweet. They also went on to say that they do not condone any disrespectful behavior and that the tweet was only meant as a playful way to celebrate the holiday.

This, however, wasn’t enough to satisfy the many outraged fans of the alcohol brand. Many have since begun using Bud Light’s #UpForWhatever hashtag as a way to let Bud Light know how disappointed they are in the company.
