Why The Bird Flu Could Soon Devastate Your McDonald’s Breakfast

The two main producers of McDonald’s poultry have warned that the latest bird flu has heavily threatened egg production.

According to Fox News, both Tyson and Cargill are having a major egg problem, which could mean Mickey D’s might have to find a plan B to keep its breakfast running smoothly.

Since December 2014, over 47 million chickens have been affected by the bird flu, and while Ronald McDonald and friends might be OK in the short term, they might have to scramble to find other suppliers and maybe even cut back on the total production.

The popular fast food chain ‘Whataburger’ has already been forced to cut back as they recently put limits on their breakfast hours. They used to serve breakfast from 11 p.m., up until the next morning at 11 a.m., now that has been cut to 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the weekdays.

It’s predicted that the flu should slow down by July, but if it keeps going, it might put a serious hamper on your usual breakfast ritual.
