KFC is giving one of its longest-running cult favorites a well-deserved moment in the spotlight.

For a limited time, participating KFC locations nationwide are serving a Country Fried Steak Meal for $4.99 every Wednesday. The meal includes crispy country fried steak smothered in white gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, coleslaw, and a warm biscuit.

While the deal may feel new to many customers, the menu item has been around for decades.
