These High-Protein Chicken Nuggets Get Their Protein From An Unexpected Source
Perdue has found a new way to pack more protein into breaded chicken, and it doesn’t involve protein powder.
The brand just launched POWERED, a new line of breaded chicken products that delivers 20 grams of protein per serving—roughly 50% more protein than Perdue’s traditional breaded chicken lineup.
Instead of relying on whey, pea, or dairy protein, Perdue boosted the protein content by blending 100% all-natural chicken directly into the breading.
“…As families’ needs evolved, we challenged ourselves to answer a simple question: How could we authentically deliver more protein while keeping our ingredients list short and staying true to what makes chicken, chicken?” said Chris Perdue, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Digital and E-Commerce at Perdue.
The new lineup also cooks in an air fryer in just 7 to 9 minutes and includes:
- Perdue Powered High Protein Chicken Nuggets
- Perdue Powered High Protein Chicken Strips
- Perdue Powered High Protein Chicken Bites
The Perdue POWERED line is now available at retailers nationwide.
