Whole Foods Just Debuted A ‘Produce Butcher’ Who Will Cut Your Fruits & Veggies

When you think of butchers, you probably picture a dude with a bloody apron, or Salt Bae, not someone chopping veggies.

Whole Foods’ latest store in Manhattan, New York will challenge the traditional butcher shop with a “Produce Butcher,” who wil cut your fruits, or veggies.

This looks to be perfect for people who want fresh, large items like watermelon, or pineapple, and don’t want to risk getting hurt prepping it. The elderly, or folks with disabilities could probably benefit greatly from this.

For $1 per pound, or per individually priced item, you can hand them any of your produce to let them slice, dice, chop, mince, wedge, or even julienne them to your heart’s desire.

Whole Foods seemed pretty stoked about the butcher, posting a photo to Instagram of their butcher putting in work while they promoted their newly opened store in Bryant Park.

It’s a neat service, and I’m sure people will take advantage of it, mostly because we’re lazy.
