AMC’s New Dune Popcorn Bucket Has The Internet Acting Up Again
AMC’s viral popcorn bucket for Dune: Part Two caused quite a stir when it hit social media timelines in 2024, drawing comparisons to a certain sex toy and earning the hilariously suggestive nickname “Dune-ussy.” It even inspired an SNL skit about a cast member losing his virginity to it.
AMC clearly caught wind of the response, because with Dune: Part Three on the horizon, it’s bringing the Dune-ussy popcorn bucket back. Only this time, it has two holes for twice the shareable fun. The holes in question are actually the wide-gaping maws of two Shai-Hulud, those massive sandworms that the Fremen ride in the films. AMC also unveiled a longer, single-worm bucket with a moving thumper for solo moviegoers, along with a hilariously phallic-looking drink container resembling some sort of sarcophagus.
As you can imagine, social media is once again having a field day, and the jokes have gotten even wilder. “NOT THE DOUBLE DUNEUSSY 😭,” wrote one person on AMC’s Instagram post. Another joked, “An automated stroker, front and back door options/ tag team with a buddy option, and one for ‘her’ as well? Y’all cooking.”
Meanwhile, X users have taken things to a whole other extreme:

Jokes aside, this and last year’s bucket are arguably two of the most creative popcorn buckets ever made. Not only do they incorporate an iconic part of the film, but the added tactile fun of having to reach past tactile Shai-Hulud teeth takes the experience to the next level.
Dune: Part 3 hits theaters on December 18.
