How To Cut The Carbs With A Cauliflower Pizza [WATCH]

After about three slices, most of us start to realize that pizza can get a little too carb-heavy.

If you’re afraid that extra slice is going to go straight to your hips, a cauliflower crust substitute might be just the solution for you to down more pizza, guilt free.

All you need is a head of cauliflower, cheese, pizza sauce, 1 egg and pepperoni.

The Crust

Grate the cauliflower, pour it into a bowl and put into the microwave for 5 minutes. Let the cauliflower cool for a minute, or two, then grate about 1/2 cup of cheese into the cauliflower and mix in the egg. Add some oregano and spread the cauliflower mix onto a baking sheet in about 6-inch circles. (You don’t want the crust too big. It might fall apart.) Preheat the oven at 450 degrees and stick your crust for 20 minutes.

The Toppings

After taking out the crust from the oven, you add a tablespoon of pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni toppings before putting it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

Take it out of the oven and have yourself some paleo-friendly pizza that Uncle Tony would probably scold you for, but you won’t care because you ain’t ’bout that carb life.

Check out the video below for a quick visual of what the pizza-making process should look like:
