This Daring Pizza Has a Rice Krispies Treat Crust

A lot of folks are making Rice Krispies pizzas for the holidays. They find the kids’ favorite candies, whip up a quick Rice Krispies base and spread some sugary sauce to mix them all together.

Following a basic Rice Krispie Treat recipe, Neatorama’s John decided he wanted something a little more on the savory side. What could be more savory than a pizza itself? John created a pizza crust from the treat mix and let it set in the freezer.

Since overcooking was a huge factor, John wanted to make sure the treat wasn’t on the pan for too long. Freezing the crust beforehand seemed to work. The pie was removed from the stove before burning up, complete with melted cheese and pepperoni.

While the Rice Krispies Treat Pizza won’t win any awards for healthiest dish, it’s definitely left an impression.

Gonna take a few hours and try this out now.
