The World’s Only Turquoise McDonald’s Just Inspired This Nike Sneaker Collab
NBA superstar Devin Booker’s latest Nike collab pulls inspiration from an unlikely source: a turquoise McDonald’s in Sedona, Arizona.
The fast food giant teamed up with Booker and Nike for a special-edition Nike Book 2 collab inspired by one of the most unique McDonald’s locations in the world: the only turquoise-arched location that’s only found in Sedona, Arizona.
And somehow, the shoes actually go hard.
Instead of the classic red-and-yellow palette everybody probably expected, the sneaker leans heavily into turquoise tones pulled directly from the Sedona location’s famously non-golden arches. Local regulations required the restaurant to blend into the city’s red rock scenery decades ago, turning it into a cult-favorite oddity for McDonald’s fans and road trip lore enthusiasts alike.
For Booker, the connection runs deeper than aesthetics.

The Phoenix Suns star has played his whole NBA career in Arizona and called McDonald’s part of his story long before the NBA, referencing his time as a McDonald’s All American and his work with Ronald McDonald House charities.
The sneaker itself arrives June 2, but McDonald’s is also dropping a Friends & Family version through its app beforehand. From May 22 through May 28, customers can enter a sweepstakes by joining the McDonald’s loyalty program and purchasing one of the chain’s new specialty beverages.
Truthfully, this collab feels smarter than most food-fashion linkups because it actually taps into place and story instead of just slapping logos onto leather.
The collab works because it feels pulled from an actual memory instead of a branding deck. If you grew up in Arizona, you probably already know the turquoise McDonald’s off sight alone. And somehow turning that very specific piece of roadside lore into a Devin Booker sneaker feels way cooler than it has any business being.
