Domino’s Launches A Detroit-Style Pizza That Looks Like An Actual Domino
Domino’s has spent more than 60 years putting its name on pizza boxes. Somehow, it took until 2026 to put an actual domino inside one.
Starting August 31, Domino’s will launch The Domino, a new personal-sized Detroit-style pizza shaped like the game piece behind the chain’s name and logo. The rectangular pie comes cut into two square slices, giving you what is essentially an edible domino.
The Domino introduces a new Parmesan Detroit-style crust made from buttery-flavored pan dough, edged with Parmesan cheese and baked in a rectangular pan. Each pizza gets two layers of cheese, your choice of sauce, up to three toppings and a finishing drizzle of Domino’s signature garlic seasoning.
Beyond the clever branding, Domino’s is filling a pretty obvious hole in the pizza game: sometimes you want pizza without the extra negotiations over toppings with three other people.
A one-topping Domino will run around $7.99, while a two-topping version joins Domino’s long-running Mix & Match deal, where customers can choose two or more qualifying items for $6.99 each.
The Domino launches nationwide August 31. And yes, if you order pepperoni, arranging them like the dots on an actual domino feels spiritually mandatory.
