Popeyes Hops On The Boneless Bandwagon With New Smokehouse Boneless Wings

Looks like the massive chicken wings shortage in the United States that led to changes at Buffalo Wild Wings may have also inspired a new item at Popeyes. They’ve hopped onto the swiftly growing boneless wing bandwagon with their brand new Smokehouse Boneless Wings.

The new item is a $5 combo meal consisting of a half dozen Smokehouse Boneless Wings, your choice of side, a Rajun’ Cajun BBQ Ranch Sauce for dipping, and a biscuit. What makes the boneless wings “smokehouse,” however, is unknown, as fast food reviewer Peep THIS Out! failed to detect any smoky flavors inside the actual chicken or BBQ Ranch Sauce.

Popeyes isn’t the only major chain to highlight and innovate around boneless wings recently. Buffalo Wild Wings began heavily promoting all of their boneless wings at their restaurants, and Sonic launched a few new flavors to go with the return of their BOGO boneless wings deal. The new Smokehouse Boneless Wings fall in line with what the rest of the fast food industry is starting to do in regards to chicken wings.

Regardless of that, the new $5 combo sounds like a pretty solid deal. If you’re down to try it, you have through the month of November to get in on these Smokehouse Boneless Wings.
