Healthcare Workers Get Free Weekly Krispy Kreme Through Mid-May

Having quite a few friends who are healthcare workers, I’ve been seeing many accounts of the struggles they’re going through on a day-to-day basis during this coronavirus pandemic.

These heroes definitely deserve some massive love for their hard work, and it looks like Krispy Kreme is giving them just that with their latest promotion.

Every Monday from now through May 12th, Krispy Kreme is committing to provide all healthcare workers free dozens of Original Glazed donuts. They’ve put no limit on how many can be redeemed, saying in a press release to “just go to a Krispy Kreme drive-thru, tell us what you need and show us your employer badge.” (UPDATE: Krispy Kreme has since changed this to be a 5 dozen donut limit.)

The deal is good for whether healthcare workers will be sharing the donuts with their colleagues or just taking it home to have food to eat after a long shift.

Separately, Krispy Kreme also announced a deal for all individuals on Saturdays. They’ll be giving out a free dozen of Original Glazed (with one having a smiley face on it) for every order of 12 or more donuts. Each dozen will be sealed and bagged individually to prevent as much cross-contact as possible.

Healthcare workers definitely deserve a lot of love for the risk they’re putting themselves in, and even though free donuts isn’t the healthiest (or most necessary solution), it’s a warming act of kindness nonetheless.
