Colorado Breweries Are Using Fresh Snow As Their Secret Ingredient

Colorado is known for its Rocky Mountains, and it was only a matter of time before someone used the mountain's natural essence for consumers to enjoy.

Little Machine Beer and Edgewater's Joyride Brewing joined forces to literally go up the mountains, collect fresh snow, and put it in a beer to show off for the Collaboration Fest in Denver.

As the owners of the shop went up to the snowy mountains, looking for their secret ingredient, they tried to collect the snow using a sled and 60-gallon drums.

Head brewer at Little Machine said they wanted the snow to actually be fresh, so they looked for uninhabited areas, just so they wouldn't have problems with road chemicals or anything else.

It's an interesting concept, as they're kind of like Coors Light, except they're actually out there getting a literal taste of the Rockies in their brews.
