Rap legend Eminem is not only one of the world’s best lyricists, he holds the honor of writing one of the most iconic spaghetti references ever. He opens his most famous song “Lose Yourself” with, “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy / There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti.” While the imagery surrounding the lyric isn’t the most pleasant, the detail captured by Eminem was so distinct, it became a standout in a song that’s loaded with quotables.
In fact, the line was so famous that in 2021, Eminem opened a Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant in Detroit where the iconic dish is served in a Chinese take out-style container. Since then, the rapper has opened several Mom’s Spaghetti pop-ups in major cities like Los Angeles and New York, leading many to assume an expansion was on the horizon. Well, Mom’s Spaghetti is definitely expanding, but rather than additional brick-and-mortar locations, Eminem is releasing 25-oz jars of his “Mom’s Spaghetti Pasta Sauce.”
