Drunk Guy Takes The Best, Most Hilariously Unnecessary Uber Ride Ever

It’s hard enough just walking after having one too many drinks, let alone calling a cab, clambering in, and giving the driver an address. So if you really think about it, this guy deserves some credit for his accomplishment. Even if he was being a huge drunken jackass.

Following one particularly lubricated night, redditor uhcougar1151 woke up to an embarrassing keepsake on his phone: a map of the Uber ride he took the night before — right down the street.

From what he recalls, he had been trying to get from The Dogwood in Houston, Texas to Shot Bar around the corner, which would have taken a minute walking. Instead, the poor sap spent $4.28 and probably a whole lot of his dignity asking a stranger to take four left turns to get him to the next destination.

Of course, it’s possible that there was a perfectly logical explanation for all this. Like, all the streets were one-way, meaning the driver couldn’t have gone any faster. Or there was an axe murderer around the corner that uhcougar wanted to avoid. Or he simply knew a driver would get him there faster than fumbling around in the dark. In any case, the story makes it totally worth it.
