Whether it was former MTV Reality Stars opening up their own Cupcakery, Plush Cupcakes, a controversial Cupcake Canon video, Scrambled Egg and Bacon Cupcakes, Cupcake Mints, Star Wars Cupcakes or easily the most popular of the year: The Pumpkin Pie in a Cupcake.

Easy and delightful to eat, cupcakes captured our hearts and stomachs into 2010. From the creation side, the minimal learning curve allows even beginning bakers to get into the kitchen to make a batch…but the limitless possibilities allowed the truly innovative to garner the attention of the web.
