4. Nutella
Touted as the best hazelnut chocolate spread in the world, the amount of searches and traffic every Nutella post we put up this year attracted was inspiring. We always knew Nutella had a strong following, but it wasn’t until someone’s discovery of a Nutella Snack and Drink portable product in the wild went viral on the web that we realized its true power.
Feeding on the hype, we rounded out the year creating the deliciously disgusting: 2 Burgers 1 Cup: The Nutella Double Double Bacon Cheeseburger. The rest of the year we were inundated with a host of Nutella-infused submissions, which you can browse here.
Funny thing is, although this year’s search results put Nutella in 4th place in terms of sheer number of search queries, our reader poll back in October revealed that many of you would choose Peanut Butter over Nutella if you could only take one jar of spread to an island for the rest of your life.
