This Protein Hack Turns Canned Tuna Into Bread

Ben Moore, an online coach and creator behind The Moore Method, aims to help men lose fat and feel great. To achieve this, he recreates protein-rich, low-calorie recipes that he finds online. Sometimes, he tries recipes for his followers to let them know whether it’s a “Smash or Trash.”

His latest Smash or Trash recipe puts a whole new spin on a tuna sandwich, blending tuna into a bread mix to make literal tuna bread. The recipe was originally shared by an online fitness coach named Hoss Sobhani and includes 266 grams of canned tuna, 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of baking powder, delivering a whopping 70 grams of protein.

Moore added all the ingredients to a blender and then air-fried them for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius). At first, he was reluctant to taste the bread because it had a fishy odor, but after three big bites, he was smacking his kitchen counter with enthusiasm. Apparently, tuna-infused bread topped with cream cheese and deli meat is a “smash.”

Could meat-infused breads be the next wave? Based on the comments, probably not. While people seem intrigued, many question whether it even qualifies as bread. One commenter cut straight to the point, saying, “We get catfood bread before GTA6.”

That said, if tuna works, then beef, chicken and others could as well, which might offer more appealing results.
