7 Outrageous MLB Stadium Foods That Wowed Fans In 2024
There was a time when going to a baseball game meant ordering classic staples like Oscar Mayer hot dogs, salted in-shell peanuts, or a bucket of buttered popcorn. Fast forward to 2024, where social media can make a player, dish, or business go viral, and many MLB concession stands have upped their game, offering attendees borderline outrageous, Instagram-worthy food creations. That’s why we’ve put together a short list of eye-popping dishes to try if you ever find yourself at one of the stadiums below.

Kansas City Royals | Kauffman Stadium: The Back to Blue Burger
When you attend a sports game, it’s expected that at least half the stadium will be filled with fans sporting the home team’s colors. What we didn’t expect was for the Kansas City Royals to take it a step further by introducing a burger that matches their team’s colors. Talk about brand loyalty! Royals fans can now order “The Back to Blue Burger,” topped with blue cheese crumbles, bacon, lettuce, and buffalo aioli—served on a strikingly blue bun.

New York Mets | Citi Field: Rainbow Cookie Egg Roll
When I think of the New York Mets and visiting their stadium, pizza is usually the first thing that comes to mind. But Citi Field is switching things up with The Rainbow Cookie Egg Roll, and no one’s complaining—because it looks delicious. This new treat features a rainbow cookie, raspberry jam, and chocolate syrup, all wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and fried. Imagine the perfect sweet-and-salty combo that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you want to try it, head over to the Metropolitan Fry Factory at Citi Field.
When I think of Seattle, three things come to mind: rain, Rainier Beer, and Dungeness crab (okay, and Kurt Cobain). So, it’s no surprise that T-Mobile Park, home of the Mariners, offers a Dungeness Crab Pizza at MOTO Pizza in Section 314. MOTO Pizza, a Seattle-based spot, has been described as serving “odd pizza,” and if this is their idea of odd, I’d love to see the rest of the menu.

Colorado Rockies | Coors Field: Polar Pasta
This offering is a special one available for a limited time only. While it may look like a bowl of udon with meatballs, appearances can be deceiving. At Coors Field, home of the Colorado Rockies, they’ve launched the Polar Pasta—a unique dessert featuring vanilla ice cream, donut holes, strawberry syrup, and mint. It’s definitely the strangest-looking dessert we’ve seen at an MLB stadium, but if it intrigues you, head over to Section 119 at Coors Field.

Padres | Petco Park: Birria Egg Rolls
San Diego is already known for having some of the best Mexican food in the US, which seems pretty obvious given the city’s proximity to Mexico. It’s no surprise that at Petco Park, home stadium of the Padres, it has Birria Egg Rolls at the Ballast Point lounge. As some someone on X tweeted, “Nah this is insane. Birria egg roll at a baseball game is just nuts. Phenomenal.” If you’re in So-Cal, you’ve got to try this one.

Pittsburgh Pirates | PNC Park: Renegade Hot Dog
You don’t have to go to Subway to get your hands on a footlong. The Renegade Hot Dog, served at PNC Park—home of the Pittsburgh Pirates—is a footlong hot dog topped with pot roast, mini pierogies, caramelized onions, and pickles. Those brave enough to tackle this beast have praised it as a surprisingly good combo and worth the price. If you’re convinced, you can find it in Section 133 at the kiosks in Pop’s Plaza.

Kansas City Royals | Kauffman Stadium: Taste of the K Taco
Imagine a cheeseburger quesadilla wrapped around a charred hot dog and topped with barbecue brisket, French fries, shredded romaine, pickled red onion, Sriracha Cracker Jacks, and 816 Sauce. Need we say more? Next time you catch the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium, head to Rivals Sports Bar in Section 250, just beyond the right field stands. You can thank us later!
