Krispy Kreme Celebrates National Dog Day With Limited-Time Doggie Doughnuts

This year, in honor of National Dog Day on Friday, August 26, celebrate your pup with a tasty pastry. For the first time ever, Krispy Kreme will be releasing Doggie Doughnuts in the U.S.

Starting August 26th, and available through the weekend, show your little sidekick some love with six Krispy Kreme-inspired doughnut-shaped doggie biscuits. It comes in a specially designed box perfect for your pooch and can be purchased in-shop or via drive-thru.

“Our dogs have given us so much love and comfort to help us through these last couple of years. They deserve this special treat,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme.

The Krispy Kreme-inspired Doggie Doughnuts are canine-friendly treats handmade by Huds and Tokes, an Australia-based family-owned pet product company with a focus on treats made with quality ingredients. Designed for doggies of all shapes, sizes and ages, it includes carob, a chocolate substitute, inside a hard-baked cookie.

In addition to tasty treats, Krispy Kreme is also releasing an accompanying red bandana with a doggie, bones, and doughnuts all-over print. It’s one-size fits most and will be available while supplies last.
