Usain Bolt Is Opening His Own Jamaican Fast Food Chain

After tearing it up on competitive race tracks for years, Jamaican Olympic superstar Usain Bolt is hanging up his sneakers. He’ll now be focusing on a fast food venture instead.

The speedster recently concluded his career at the World Athletics Championships, promptly retiring following a third place finish. Now, according to Caterer magazine, he’s preparing to launch 15 locations of Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records over the next five years. All of them will be opened up in the United Kingdom.

Bolt’s restaurant chain already has a flagship location in Kingston, Jamaica, which opened in 2011. While outlets like The Sun and The Mirror call the place “fast food,” it’s not your typical nuggets and fries. Bolt’s restaurant does have “burgers a la Usain,” but will also feature Jamaican favorites. These include curry goat, jerk pork, oxtail, and many more delicious traditional dishes.

There’s no official time table yet as to when the first UK restaurant will be opening up, but we’re hoping it’ll be soon. There’s also no word yet as to whether Usain Bolt will look to expand into the United States. Jamaican fast food sounds like an awesome concept, though, and we definitely want a taste of what’s been feeding the world’s fastest man.
