You Can Enjoy Coffee And Pastries At A Pop-Up ‘Rat Cafe’, Here’s How

Are you a huge fan of rodents, particularly rats? If so, this may be the pop-up cafe experience you’ve been dreaming of.

An attraction in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf called The SF Dungeon will be opening up a pop-up “Rat Cafe” on July 1st and July 8th only. In this cafe, which will be located in the basement of the dungeon, you and others will be treated to coffee, tea, and pastries before a 15-minute swarm of rats comes in for you to interact with. Don’t worry, the rats are domesticated and are being donated by a local nonprofit that rehabilitates rescued rats before putting them up for adoption.

According to the San Jose Mercury News, a ticket for this cafe will set you back $50, but also includes admission to the SF Dungeon on top of the Rat Cafe experience.

While the tickets aren’t available yet, if you are down to hang out with a bunch of rats, you can check back on the SF Dungeon’s website to see when they will be available.

If you don’t give a rat’s ass, then you can scurry on along.
