Tear Into This Green Eggs & SPAM Burrito For St. Patrick’s Day

Every March we get green with envy at all these dope spots dropping colorful St. Paddy’s Day menu items for a short while.

Our neighbors, Ninjas with Appetite, has an annual tradition of creating a burrito based on the beloved Dr. Seuss children’s book Green Eggs and Ham. The burrito plays on the titular dish with a meaty twist: SPAM.

The Green Eggs & Spam Burrito features garlic fried rice, wasabi micro-greens, and teriyaki-glazed Spam wrapped in a green spinach tortilla. The burrito also comes with the option of adding mozzarella cheese, which comes highly recommended to keep everything together.

A couple weeks ago, NWA also launched a Teriyaki Cheesesteak Burrito which has been flying off the grill ever since. The menu item was California’s answer to the Philly Cheesesteak.

Every year, we beg them to keep this St. Paddy’s Day burrito on the menu. Alas, our pleas fall upon deaf ears.

You can find the emerald burrito at the brick-and-mortar Ninjas With Appetite location in Downtown Santa Ana on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 for that day ONLY, lads and lasses.
