This Al Pastor Ramen Dish Is The Mexican-Japanese Hybrid LA Has Been Waiting For

We love ramen. Let’s get that clear and out of the way. Any kind of ramen you can think of, we’d be more than happy to have a bite and a slurp. Rakken Tacos, a Asian-Mexican fusion spot in Southern California, has developed a bowl of dry ramen topped with al pastor.

The Commerce-based restaurant uses Asha noodles served with lemongrass al pastor. It’s topped with a house-made spicy mayo and topped with some freshly-chopped green onions and cilantro.

While the dish doesn’t feature ramen’s classic broth, it still looks like it can hold its own against the traditional takes on iconic the Japanese dish.

I mean, look at it.

The dish is the most recent entry into innovative ramen creations. By now, we’ve all heard of the infamous Ramen Burger. Then, folks started adding ramen to everyday foods to get even more ramen hybrids out there. We got ramen pizza, ramen donuts, ramen fries…hell, someone even made a ramen pot pie!

Welcome to the world, Al Pastor Ramen. Prepare to be devoured.
