StarKist Accused Of Skimping On Tuna, Will Now Give You Free Money

Back when I was a young box boy working for Kroger, there was customer who’d always complain about StarKist tuna, screaming at the top of his lungs that the portions were getting smaller and smaller.

That customer might feel a little better because StarKist will be offering $25 in cash after being accused of not fully filling their 5-ounce tuna cans in a class action lawsuit, according to Fox Carolina.

Hendricks vs. StarKist Co. agreed a settlement, which means StarKist won’t admit guilt, but will still be offering money  to people who bought 5-ounce cans of Chunk Light Tuna in Water, Chunk Light Tuna in Oil, Solid White Tuna in Water, or Solid White Tuna in Oil between February 19, 2009 through October 31, 2014.

If you don’t want the free cash, you have the option of $50-worth of StarKist coupons.

I know what you’re thinking, how are they going to know if you bought tuna within that time frame? Ain’t nobody got time to keep those receipts.

Thankfully, all you have to do is file a claim by November 20 and swear that you’re not lying.
