What a 6-Year-Old McDonald’s Burger and Fries Look Like Today

Apparently McDonald’s shut down all operations in Iceland back in 2009.

According to the Daily Mail, an Icelandic man (Icelander? Icelandite?) waited until the last day of the last open McDonald’s and bought the last ever meal. Instead of savoring that last meal, he decided to save it for six years.

Crazy enough, the burger and fries have aged as gracefully as Kris Jenner and for three years were displayed at the National Museum of Iceland. They were then returned to original owner, Hjortur Smarason, who then donated them to a hotel.

So the burger and fries still live and look as lively as ever.

Guess now we know that some of those 19 ingredients found in the fries help preserve them long enough to store and feed you a while during the zombie apocalypse.
