Here’s What a 1,200-Pound Pumpkin Crushing a Truck Looks Like

Pumpkin-Truck

When attending a festival, anyone can check out the pie-eating contest or enjoy some live music, but it’s not often one can see a truck get crushed by a giant pumpkin. A Pennsylvania-based festival has a unique tradition when it comes to overgrown pumpkins that do just that.

Rather than carving them or turning them into pies, the people of the Conneaut Lake Park Pumpkin Festival drop them from 120 feet in the air onto a vehicle. Surrounded by an eager crowd, the delivery truck anxiously awaits its fate. Death by pumpkin.

One attendee, Eric Dye, was able to capture the smashing tradition. The video below documents the event pretty clearly, and it’s literally what one would expect to see.
