Pizza Hut Going Fast Casual, Tests Pizza by the Slice

If you’ve ever had the hankering for decent, cardboard-crusted pizza, but not three stoned buddies to share a delivery box with, take heart: two Pizza Hut locations in Nebraska and Rhode Island are currently testing new pizzas “by the slice” in an attempt to capture the 20 – 30-something crowd.

Along with the test slices will come newly designed stores featuring new ovens to heat the slices, pizza slice “bars,” made-to-order salad and pasta stations, and gussied-up Chipotle-esque fixtures like metal and exposed brick, which will vary by location.

The slices themselves will take between three to four minutes to cook and cost between $2 and $3, according to the Associated Press.

Ah, yes, but can we stop by with our 3 a.m. munchies? That is the question.
