McDonald’s Jalapeño Kicker Sandwiches Spotted in Maryland and Colorado

Who knows what started fast food’s newfound boner for spicy food (Sriracha. Sriracha started it.), but we’re all in. From Subway’s latest Sriracha Steak and Chicken Melts to the recently-launched McDonald’s Southwest Chicken Wrap, there’s plenty of spice around to warm our hearts all the way through 2014.

McDonald’s is currently testing new Jalapeño Kicker Sandwiches at select locations in Maryland and Colorado. According a McDonald’s press release (via Patch), “The new Jalapeño Kicker sandwich is a quarter pounder beef patty or premium chicken (grilled or crispy) with cream cheese sauce, jalapeño pepper jack cheese, crunchy jalapeño crisps, pickled jalapeño slices, farm fresh tomato and a crisp leaf.”

For a limited time, Marylanders can also nab a Jalapeño White Cheddar Cheese McMuffin or Jalapeño White Cheddar Cheese Biscuit, or simply add jalapeños to any McDonald’s sandwich.

But why stop at sandwiches? If the McEverything is any indication, McDonald’s menu customization could prove to be a pretty rewarding pastime moving forward. At least, we hope so, because jalapeño, melted pepperjack, and chicken McNugget-covered french fries sound boooomb.
