Red Lobster Launches Menu Revamp With Seafood Boils, Sangria Flights And $5 Drinks

Red Lobster is shaking things up after nearly going bankrupt. In an interview, Chief Executive Damola Adamolekun credited several internal changes for the improved customer sentiment.

The company has refocused on boosting customer engagement—from having staff personally escort guests to the restroom instead of just pointing the way, to refreshing the menu with new dishes like lobster pappardelle and bacon-wrapped scallops. CEO Adamolekun has also brought back fan favorites like hushpuppies and popcorn shrimp, signaling a return to hospitality with heart and flavor.

Now, the 36-year-old CEO has more exciting news for long-time fans: Red Lobster just launched new appetizer deals, a $5 happy hour, seafood boil bags, and sangria flights. Available at participating locations from 3-6 pm, Red Lobster’s Happy Hour includes $5 drink specials and $2 off select appetizers like lobster flatbread, seafood-stuffed mushrooms, crab queso, and more.

The Mariner’s Seafood Boil comes in two saucy options — roasted garlic butter or Cajun butter — and packs a Maine lobster tail, a dozen shrimp, snow crab legs, corn, and red potatoes, all served piping hot in a shake-and-serve bag for $50.99. The Sailor’s Boil keeps things simpler but still satisfying. And to wash it all down? The new Seaside Sangria Flights, featuring mango berry, tropical white, and triple berry — basically, a beach vacation in three sips.
