Ramen-Crusted Shrimp Featured at This Florida Restaurant

It looks like the starch gods have officially replaced panko with ramen noodles. The Blue Bamboo, a restaurant based in Jacksonvilla, Fla., is serving a dish of ramen-crusted shrimp on their menu. At least it looks like there’s shrimp under that thick layer of ramen.

The ramen boom has risen and fallen over the last few years with many novelty noodle-inspired creations. Though it looks like the popular Japanese noodle making a quiet comeback with the recent development of the ramen burrito and ramen pizza. We even wrote about ramen-crusted wings earlier this year, which seems pretty much the same concept only with different proteins.

The Blue Bamboo is known for what they describe as Hip Asian Comfort food. Some of their menu items include a Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Short Rib Tacos and Soft Shell Crab and Grits.

Sounds hip.
