Forget the phrase “the writing’s on the wall”—Olive Garden has sparked a social media frenzy, and it’s not about their iconic unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks. A TikTok user recently posted a video of a half-eaten breadstick with mysterious black markings on its side, showing the letters “O” and “K” alongside the number “6.” The unexpected discovery has left fans scratching their heads and buzzing with speculation.

The post quickly went viral, racking up nearly four million views and sparking thousands of comments about the breadstick’s mysterious writing. Some users even shared theories in an attempt to decipher the strange markings.

Other individuals were left absolutely perplexed.

The momentum of the post led to the official Olive Garden TikTok account to leave a comment, “We are concerned to see this. Can you please send an email to [email protected] with your full name, and the location you went to?”

On November 20, just four days after the unusual discovery, the TikToker posted a follow-up video detailing her experience. According to her, after some email exchanges, she was sent a $100 gift card as compensation.

The chain has yet to officially address the mystery behind the writing on the breadstick. For now, it seems both the TikToker and the internet are content with how the situation was handled.
