McDonald’s Netherlands Has A Supreme Burger With A New York Bagel Bun
McDonald’s locations in the Netherlands are giving their customers a taste of New York.
The fast food chain is selling an exclusive gourmet burger that features a sesame and poppy seed-topped New York style bagel as a bun. Called the New York Bagel Supreme, this artisan burger also contains two beef patties, cheddar cheese, bacon, and coleslaw along with lettuce, pickles, mustard, and ketchup.
McDonald’s Netherlands launched the burger just over a month ago and is marketing the Bagel Supreme towards younger audiences, claiming their bagel is “straight out of New York.” While I’m not sure how the bacon and slaw play into that, the bagel is definitely an iconic staple of New York fare.
I wonder if this means we’ll start getting new buns (possibly bagels?) on our burgers in the United States as well. This bagel would definitely do well out here.
