Krispy Kreme Goes Dark For The Eclipse With New Original Glazed Chocolate Doughnuts

In case you haven’t heard about it yet, there’s a massive solar eclipse happening this upcoming August 21. According to NASA, this eclipse is particularly special because we’ll be able to view it across the entire continental United States for the first time. While not all of us may be in the eclipse’s direct path, we can still celebrate this astronomical occasion thanks to Krispy Kreme.

The doughnut-making giant is celebrating this rare event by “going dark” with their doughnuts in the days leading up to the eclipse. In specific, they’ll be adding a special chocolate coating to their Original Glazed Doughnuts for the first time ever as a way to celebrate this momentous solar phenomenon.

If you’re hoping to get your hands on one of these special chocolate treats, you can get it when the Hot Sign is on during the evening of August 19th and 20th. On the 21st, the chocolate doughnuts will be available all day long for people to enjoy as the eclipse slowly makes its way across the country.

It’s a fun, yet tasty way to celebrate the solar eclipse, even if you can’t get to where it will actually be visible.
