KFC Finally Brings ‘Chizza’ to America

By now you’ve probably seen all the rage over KFC’s ‘Chizza’ as it released all over the globe. In case you missed it, Chizza is not a pizza, not a new iteration of a Cheez-It, and definitely not associated in any way to a Chia Pet. Chizza is a new menu item to KFC locations in the states that combines America’s favorite food groups: chicken and pizza.

Starting Monday, February 26, KFC is introducing for the very first time in the U.S., its international smash hit, Chizza, featuring two 100% white meat Extra Crispy filets topped with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni. For a limited time, fans in the U.S. will be able to get their hands on this famous item nationwide.

“Fried chicken and pizza collaborated to create something even better – the Chizza,” said Nick Chavez, CMO KFC U.S. “The fan-favorite mashup is finally available in the U.S. after making its way around the world – try it while you can!”

After seeing success in the Philippines, India, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, Spain, Germany, Mexico and other countries, KFC is anticipating the hype for the Chizza in America, so they are offering a pop-up to fans in NYC on February 22 & 23, 1-9pm ET. Be sure to stop in at the KFC located at 242 E 14th St. to claim a Chizza before anyone else in the nation has a chance.
