‘Headphanie’ Bottles Of Hennessy Are Real, Here’s Where They Popped Up

“Why is Hennessy teaming up with trash rappers?” asked my editor when I showed him the trending bottle of “Headphanie.”

If you’re wondering what this new bottle is, it is an homage to the song “OOOUUU” by Young M.A., as one of the lyrics says, “You call her Stephanie, I call her Headphanie.”

Not the most creative oral sex reference, but apparently it was good enough to sell in retail stores, as Lilac Company slapped their labels on bottles of Hennesy for a “Headphanie” edition of the bottle.

Pictures of the drink hit social media, and it felt like a hilarious Photoshopped meme, but then we found out that the bottles were very real and available not only on Lilac Company’s online store, but also at a couple of Florida liquor stores, as well.

According to Lilac Co., the two stores slanging these “Headphanie” bottles were 24 Liquors and Sweeney’s 23 Hour Liquor Store, both in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

One thing that might be a bummer, is that Young M.A., hasn’t said a thing about the bottles, and might not be involved at all. Lilac Co. did say they are in contact with her manager about getting the rapper involved, according to XXL Mag.

While Lilac said no cease and desist orders were given, they later tweeted that all production has stopped and bottles have been removed from shelves, so we’ll have to see when we can get some more Headphanie in the future.

With the hype built around it, you have to believe there will be more on its way, eventually.
