Cup Noodles’s latest flavor is Nuggets and Fries ramen, a combination of college food and fast food favorites that also capitalizes on recent fads in the food world.

Actual tiny chicken nuggets, scrambled egg, and pieces of potato are scattered throughout the soup, which is also flavored with green onions and black pepper. Mashable reports that the nuggets and fries ramen is only available in Japan, and just debuted there this past Monday.

The new flavor may seem like an inevitable college food mashup, but it also manages to stay on trend as well. Fried chicken and ramen have been growing in popularity as of late, with chicken karaage ramen being a primary example of that. Foodbeast saw the combo in multiple forms at NOODS NOODS NOODS, our noodle-centered festival, so it’s clear that people are liking the fusion of crispy chicken and warm ramen.

Cup Noodles’ tribute to the combo comes in a larger size than their typical package, weighing 3.3 oz compared to the usual 2.7 oz. It costs 205 yen ($1.91 USD), so for Cup Noodles, it’s on the pricier end. But it’s still an affordable and trendy college food staple that also sounds like it would be a perfect cure for the munchies.
