Chipotle Still Has No Answer For E. Coli Outbreak After Investigation

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention officially ended its investigation of Chipotle’s E. Coli outbreaks, and while they’ve deemed the outbreaks over, they still have no idea how, or why they started.

The CDC found that 57 percent of people affected by the first outbreak, 80 percent of people affected by the second outbreak were female, that there were no death related to the outbreaks, and that no one got hemolytic uremic syndrome, but still couldn’t figure out the root of what got over 50 people sick across the country.

At this point Chipotle probably doesn’t care about the source of the outbreak as the investigation is over with, their stock immediately rose by over 4 percent and they can start to get over this PR nightmare.

Slowly, but surely, Chipotle is trying to win people back by doubling its food giveaways, shutting down all its stores for a bit and discussing food safety with all employees.

If Chipotle has its way, customers will forget this ever happened, and the burrito chain will once again be the source of love and life.
