Cavaliers And Spurs Debut Deep-Fried PB&J Sandwiches For The NBA Playoffs
The NBA Playoffs already feel unhinged enough. Then arena food decided to match the energy.
Aramark Sports + Entertainment just unveiled a new limited-time menu item called The Crust Crusher for Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs home games, and it looks exactly like the kind of thing somebody dreams up after a double overtime thriller and zero self-control.
At Cavaliers games, The Crust Crusher takes a deep-fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich and stacks it with Black Forest ham, smoked turkey, and Swiss cheese. The sandwich sells for $14.99 during Cavs home games.
Meanwhile, the Spurs version somehow pushes things even further. Their Crust Crusher starts with a deep-fried peanut butter and honey sandwich, then adds a breaded chicken filet, mole sauce, hot honey glaze, coleslaw, and waffle fries on the side. It’s available at Section 114 on the Plaza level for $15.59.
All of this feels perfectly aligned with the playoffs.
This postseason has already delivered chaos, comeback runs, superstar meltdowns, role players turning into legends for a night, and crowds losing their minds possession after possession. Arena food showing up equally reckless almost feels necessary.
