Taco Bell Is Testing A Dessert Version Of Its Iconic Crunchwrap
Taco Bell is giving one of its most recognizable menu items a sweet new twist.
The chain is currently testing the Crème Brûlée Crunchwrap Slider, a limited-time dessert that transforms the iconic Crunchwrap into a handheld take on the classic French dessert. The test is running at participating Taco Bell locations in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.
Instead of seasoned beef and nacho cheese, the dessert version packs a creamy vanilla filling and a mini tostada shell coated in cinnamon sugar. Taco Bell folds it into its signature hexagonal Crunchwrap shape, grills it in a warm flour tortilla, then finishes it with a crackly caramelized cinnamon-sugar crust inspired by the brûléed sugar topping that defines crème brûlée.
The Crème Brûlée Crunchwrap Slider is only available as a regional test for now, meaning its future depends on how customers in Grand Rapids respond.
