Y2K wasn’t just a moment—it was a whole vibe. Frosted tips, flip phones, rhinestone belts, and Taco Bell runs after school with the squad. Now Taco Bell is bottling up that nostalgia and serving it hot with the new Decades Y2K Menu, a lineup of five fan-favorite throwbacks, all priced at $3 or less.

Hitting menus nationwide September 9, the revival includes some heavy hitters:

  • Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos ($2.49): The tangy-crunchy cousin of the OG Nacho Cheese shell.
  • Double Decker Taco ($2.49): A bean-slathered soft tortilla hugging a crunchy taco shell.
  • 7-Layer Burrito ($2.49): A vegetarian staple stacked with beans, rice, guac, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and cheese.
  • Chili Cheese Burrito ($2.99): The cult classic that fans have been begging Taco Bell to bring back.
  • Caramel Apple Empanada ($2.99): That golden, gooey fried pastry you used to demolish after practice—coming first to Rewards Members Sept. 2–8 in-app before hitting menus everywhere.

But Taco Bell’s not stopping at food. They’re leaning all the way into Y2K energy with limited-edition merch drops and even a Crunchkin digital taco-pet that lives in the Taco Bell app. Yup, you can now feed a little taco buddy while crushing Double Deckers.

The merch lineup is pure throwback heat: a collab hat with Ed Hardy (yes, rhinestones are back), a digital watch that looks straight out of 2003, and a vintage-style Y2K shirt. Each drop happens on Tuesdays in September, with just 500 pieces available each time—so you’ll have to channel that old-school dial-up patience if you want to score.

And since the Crunchwrap Supreme turns 20 this year, Taco Bell is also rolling out a new $9 Discovery Luxe Box, which includes a Crunchwrap, Cool Ranch DLT, and more. Consider it the deluxe Y2K starter pack.

If you were around for Taco Bell in the early 2000s, this is basically a reunion tour for your tastebuds. If you weren’t? Well, now you get why millennials won’t shut up about that empanada.
