Haribo Gummies Recalled Due To Cannabis Contamination

Bags of Haribo Happy Cola F!ZZ are being pulled from store shelves in the Netherlands after some were found with traces of cannabis. According to the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA), several adults and children reported feeling ill from consuming the gummies, sparking an investigation that revealed they were contaminated. The source is still unknown, but local authorities are searching for it.

Haribo responded to the findings in a statement issued by the NVWA, saying it has begun recalling bags with a best-before date of January 2026 and has warned customers. While only three bags were found to be contaminated, the candymaker still thought it best to take precautionary measures.

Haribo products in other countries remain cannabis-free. Sadly, or maybe for the best, this is probably the closest we’ll get to official Haribo edibles.
